The minimum number of credit units (CU) required for the degree of MSc (Tech) is 180, towards which the degree thesis contributes 20 CU. One credit unit, CU, refers to approximately 40 hours of academic work. One credit, CR (credits in use as of 1.8.2005), refers to approximately 26,7 hours of academic work. One CU corresponds to 1,68 ECTS credits and one CR equals to one ECTS credit.
